One of the windows that attracts visitors with a special interest in stained glass to Alloway Kirk. It was possibly the last window designed by Christopher W Whall. It is difficult to see well since the building was extended in 1977 to form an entrance foyer on the outside of the window. The BBC lights for the 'Songs of Praise' service in January 2002 provided the opportunity to see it in good light. The window depicts the carpenter Joseph with Mary and the infant Jesus. A robin watches the scene from just above Mary's head and the background foreshadows the crucifiction and resurrection.
