Alloway Church is part of Ayr Presbytery, which extends from  north of Barassie to south of Ballantrae and from Glenbuck and New Cumnock in the east to the sea at the west.

 All Church of Scotland churches in the area are members of Presbytery, with the minister and an elder from each congregation appointed to be members.
