 II had a fantastic weekend training in Aviemore and have come back with some great ideas, particularly for the Bible Class!
The Social Committee of the church is organising a family Beetle Drive and supper in the halls on Saturday 4th February at 6.45 – 9.00pm. Adults £2.50 and children 50p.
The next prayer meeting to pray for the young people, their families and activities is on Monday 6th February at 7.00pm, at Bill and Jan Duncan’s house, 13 Broadwood Park. All welcome.
The Alloway Youth Players present a pantomime CINDERS. Thursday 16th and Friday 17th February at 7.00pm, in the church halls. Tickets £2 are available between the church services from Sunday 22nd January or from Julie on 443867, or 07779543971. Tuck shop and ice cream on the night. The young people are working really hard, and we welcome everyone’s support at what promises to be a great family night out. Proceeds are for Rachael Bamford’s trip to Switzerland this summer, and for the parish youth funds.
Please join us for the Youth Club Coffee morning on Saturday 25th February 10.30 – 12 noon, in the church halls. Homebaking stall. Proceeds towards our annual trip to Fort Rocky in September.
Please join us to support the teams in the 5 a side football tournament to be held at Cambusdoon Sports Club on Sunday 4th March 2.00 – 4.00pm. Refreshments and prizegiving to be held in the church halls afterwards. Teams have been invited from the Scouts, BB, Guides, Youth Club and Cosycoffeehouse as well as the Church Board and Kirk Session. More support possibly needed for the 2 referees!
We have a crèche available for all under 3’s. There are lots of toys and people to look after the youngsters and babies through the service at 9.45am. Babies can be left before the service starts, or brought over to the halls as the children leave for Funday School. Funday School and Bible Class continue through the 9.45am service.
Parent and Toddlers meet on Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 – 11.30am in the church halls. Further details available from Rhona on 07887494210. Thursday group meets at 1.30 – 3.00pm, further details available from Rene on 445280. All pre-school children and parents welcome. Anyone who is available to help at the groups, on a rota basis, please call Julie on 443867 or 07779 543971.
The next meeting of the Youth Club is on Sunday 5th February 7 – 9pm. Join us if you are in P7 – S3. £1 entry plus bring a bit extra for tuck. Details from Ken on 442919.
If you are in S2 – S6 why not join us at the Cosycoffeehouse, Sunday 29th January 7 – 9pm in the church halls. This will be a Burns celebration, with a ceilidh, joining with the young people from St Andrews, Riverside and Southside churches. Our own Youth Club have also had invites. All welcome.
SUPA Clubs at Alloway (Mondays) and Doonfoot Primary Schools (Fridays) are up and running for the new term. We look forward to seeing the P7’s for games, chat, songs and a bucket load of fun!
Tuesday night Youth Club continues in term time at Doonfoot Primary 7– 8.30 pm in the IFE wing. Activities which will be organised by Frazer and his friends are open to anyone in P7.
