Meetings have taken place now at both of our primary Schools and we look forward to all
of the exciting things you have planned over the next few months. Our best wishes have
been extended to Mrs Kay Lennon, who retired from Doonfoot after a very long service
there as school secretary; also to Mrs Linda Nicholson HT of Doonfoot PS for the last
13 years. I am delighted to say that Mrs Nicholson will join us to worship next Sunday
– our opportunity as a congregation to thank her for the outstanding contribution she has
made to this Parish.
Today we welcome the TTW team as they report back to us
about their amazing experiences this summer. Youngsters from the Funday School will
also be on duty at the door and will read the lessons. The TTW team will then leave with the Funday School and entertain them with a puppet show.
Join us for an Italian Family Fun Night. Saturday 25th September 2010 7 – 9 pm in the
church halls. Games, fun, quiz, pizza and ice cream! We would be delighted to see
anyone wearing the national colours. £1 per head. ALL WELCOME.
Following an initial meeting of young people, we have decided to go ahead with the
panto “HOOD” in the Autumn. Rehearsals will continue in the church halls on Wednesdays and Saturday evenings, 7 -9 pm.
The next meeting of the prayer group, who meet regularly to pray for the young people
and their activities, will meet on Wednesday 6th October at 7.00pm at Julie’s place, 6
Finnick Glen. All welcome.
Youth Club returns on Sunday 5th September 7 – 9 pm in the halls. Join us if you are
in P7 – S2. Entry is £1 and bring along some extra funds for tuck shop. For more
