The principal objective of the Church of Scotland is to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ's Kingdom throughout the world. As a national Church, it acknowledges a distinctive call to duty to bring the ordinances of religion to the people in every parish of the country through territorial ministry.

To these ends, Alloway Parish Church organises and conducts throughout the year weekly services of public worship, fortnightly mid-week services and occasional evening services. We strive to proclaim the Christian gospel to everyone but place huge importance in working with our wonderful young people in the locale and in promoting the traditional uniformed youth organisations. Of equal importance to us is the close and cherished working relationships that we have established and which we maintain with the two non-denominational primary schools within our Parish.

The Christian fellowship of the congregation is further promoted through, inter-alia, a wide variety of social, spiritual and educational meetings. Evidence of this is the extent to which the suite of halls that are annexed to our Church are utilised as popular and thriving centres of rich, diverse, stimulating and Christian-centred community activity.

Alloway Parish Church periodically looks at ways of improving upon and consolidating what it has achieved in the community and of promoting modernity and continuous improvement. In so doing, it has established objectives in the key areas of worship, congregational life, the community, youth, governance and annual review.
