Retrace your steps up Greenfield Avenue for about 50yds, cross over and go through the gate into Belleisle Estate.
Walk up the drive to the mansion house hotel, (sadly now destroyed by a fire). Lost to the flames were some beautiful ornate carvings of Burns’ scenes which were in the reception area.
Leave the hotel to the right and turn right again to cross the golf course by the wide footpath. You will recognise the B7024 when you get there in about 7 minutes. Cross the road back into the Rozelle Estate and to your car.
You can do the walk in an hour and a half but if you want to get the best of your visit make it a full day out!
