The basis of the window is a teacher caring for her pupils.  The artist has interpreted this through two Bible verses.

The upper part of the window uses Revelation ch22 v2 - "In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."

(King James Version)

Twelve fruits are shown and the River of the Water of Life and the Tree of Life form a link between the top and bottom of the window.

The lower part of the window reflects Ephesians ch4 v11 - "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;".

(King James Version)

The window is a memorial to Mary Cubie as a tribute by her brother Robert. The window was designed and installed by Susan Bradbury of Stained Glass Design Partnership, Kilmarnock.

It was dedicated on Easter Sunday 2001,
