Alloway Robert Burns Poets Path Tam o'Shanter Auld Kirk Dancing Witches

Carrying on down the Poet's Path we see Tam staring at one of the dancing witches who, with warlocks, had taken over the Auld Kirk dancing wildly as the Devil played his bagpipes.

"There was ae winsome wench and waulie,

That night enlisted in the core."

"Her cutty sark o' Paisley harn,

That while a lassie she had worn,

In longitude tho' sorely scanty,

It was her best, and she was vauntie."
