At Alloway Primary School in a recent article written for school news, pupils wrote the following. “Jodie and Abi in P6C baked cakes and treats and sold them at break time. They raised £95! The girls also came up with an amazing idea about how their money should be spent. They know that not every child in Malawi has their right to the best health care possible and the right to a safe and clean environment (Article 24, UNCRC). So, we found a company in Malawi who make sustainable sanitary products for girls. We have raised enough money to get all 440 girls in Bandawe Girls Secondary School their own pack of products and a lesson from the company in how to use and clean them! We are so proud of the girls for coming up with this incredible idea! Well done girls!”
